Splittingly does not move money. It records what people tell it they paid, and calculates who owes whom. Settling a debt in the app marks it as settled — it does not transfer funds. Any actual payment happens between you and the other person, outside this app.
Splittingly is a mobile application for splitting shared expenses within a group. It is provided by Vojtěch Balata, Puškinovo nám. 691/16, 160 00 Praha 6-Bubeneč, Czech Republic.
You need an account to use shared groups. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country, and at least 13 (16 where local law requires).
You keep ownership of the content you enter. You grant us only the licence needed to store it and show it to the other members of your groups. Do not upload anything unlawful, and do not upload other people's personal data beyond what a shared expense reasonably needs — a name is fine, a copy of their ID is not.
Balances are calculated from what group members enter. We take the arithmetic seriously — amounts are stored as whole minor units so nothing is lost to rounding — but we cannot verify that an entry is truthful or that a payment really happened. Splittingly is a record, not an escrow, an accountant, or a legal proof of debt.
The app is free and shows advertising. A one-time in-app purchase ("Splittingly Pro") removes all advertising and unlocks additional themes and export. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms; refunds follow their policies.
Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the service, and do not use it to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for disputes between group members about money. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or intentional misconduct.
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may use the EU online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
